Julia Lindholm
I am a 37-year-old Member of Espoo City Council and a mother of two young children. I live in Westend, Espoo, with my spouse and our 6- and 4-year-old children.
I first arrived in Espoo during my university years when I landed an internship at Nokia towards the end of my bachelor’s studies. Around the same time, Aalto University School of Business relocated to Otaniemi, where I completed my studies. Our family settled in Leppävaara in 2018 when we were expecting our first child. A piece of my heart will always remain in Leppävaara, where we spent many happy years as a young family.
I spent my childhood in Central Finland, in the former Jyväskylä Rural Municipality. After high school, I lived abroad for several years but also spent a lot of time in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
I work as an expert in Finance Transformation projects for municipalities and wellbeing services counties. I have been involved in projects related to financial planning for wellbeing services counties, social and healthcare ICT projects, and municipal financial management.
In my free time, I engage in volunteer activities and enjoy spending time at my in-laws’ summer house in Siuntio. I serve on the board of a Swedish-language immersion daycare in Espoo and on the board of the local National Coalition Party association. My favorite hobbies include spending time in nature with my family, karaoke, and snowboarding. I also love attending live music events, whether at small local venues or large arenas around the world.

Education
I graduated from Jyväskylän Lyseo High School. I started working in my second year of high school and, after graduation, took courses in communication studies at the University of Helsinki alongside my job. In 2013, I began my studies in Sweden at Stockholm University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Political Science in the spring of 2017. In the fall of 2017, I started Master’s studies at Aalto University School of Business. However, I began working again in my first year of the program, and finally completed my thesis in the summer of 2024.

Career
Currently, I work as a consultant in Finance Transformation projects for municipalities and wellbeing services counties.
My previous experience includes for example:
- Entrepreneur in a startup specializing in software optimization.
- Project manager and in financial management software for municipalities and hospital districts at CGI
- Content production for Mobile Networks R&D and field verification projects at Nokia
- A decade in the fashion industry, working as a model primarily in New York, London, Paris, and East Asia.
- Communications roles, including freelance journalist for Trendi magazine, communications assistant at Lumene, and digital marketing and PR specialist at Lumi Accessories.
